At the same time as the electricity was installed in the cabin summer 2019, electric heaters were also installed: one in the kitchen, two in the living room and one in the smallest bedroom.
The ovens are remote controlled. That makes is possible to arrive to a warm cabin. The Electric heaters are switched on half a day before arrival at the lodge. And are switched off a few hours before departure.
The remote control only uses energy when there are people in the cabin. Otherwise, the heat is turned off so that the cabin is cold when there are no people there.
For you as a visitor to the cabin, you don’t have to think about the settings. Even when you go home, because the ovens turn off automatically after leaving the cabin.
However, it is important that you do not change any settings or turn off the heaters. They should always be powered on – and therefore should NOT be turned off when traveling – because they go to sleep without energy consumption by themselves.
